Being involved from the ground up is a fantastic opportunity for any development. The City of Wollongong was chosen by Tennis Australia as the location, for the first ever purpose built tennis Hot Shots courts.
Hot Shots courts are the perfect solution to creating tennis venues that are easily accessible and capable of engaging the entire community. These courts offer a solution to areas that are under- utilized and provide options to introduce new revenue streams to tennis clubs.
STI were engaged to convert two existing full size tennis courts into eight brightly coloured, size modified Hot Shot tennis courts. APTA’s ITF classified Laykold Advantage hard court system was chosen because of its high performance, durability and ability to be custom built to any desired court pace, perfect for budding young tennis stars.
The project included all preparation works (using APTA’s product range), the line system, fencing, supply and installation of posts and non-slip on-court logos, as well as providing expert training in the care and maintenance of the Laykold court system.
Brett Andrews, Facility Development Manager, Tennis NSW stated that as this was the first project of its kind, it was new to STI, Tennis NSW and the Club but STI worked very closely with the all parties to ensure that the desired outcome was reached and specifications were met. STI recognised how important it was that the project delivered outstanding finish as the courts would be used to promote further Hot Shot court developments in NSW and Australia.
‘Throughout the project there was excellent and regular communication, attention to detail was met and STI worked with us to get the best possible result,’ stated Brett Andrews.
‘We were very satisfied with STI who delivered an outstanding result to time and to budget and I would say they went above and beyond throughout the project,’ declared Brett. (Click here to read Brett’s full testimonial)
