Project Overview:
Two Laykold Masters Gel courts were installed at the National Olympic Tennis Training Centre side by side with an existing liquid cushion court. This allows players and coaches to compare the Gel’s 17% force reduction to a traditional old technology of the 11 Layer Liquid Cushion courts at 6% force reduction.
Finished in US Open Colour Coat Concentrate topcoats to achieve a Fast-Medium Court Pace rating as found at the US Open courts in New York
Korean players have a history of overuse injury, and the Laykold Gel was installed to offer a remedy to top juniors experiencing serious knee, ankle and lower back injuries by age 20
The training center is an indoor facility, the Gel courts were installed over an existing acrylic liquid cushion system.
