INTRODUCING TWO NEW BRAND AMBASSADORS • OLYMPIANS SIMON CHILD & STACEY MICHELSEN SIGN WITH POLIGRAS

Polytan/APT Asia Pacific’s support for our local sporting heroes continues, with the recent signing of two new Brand Ambassadors to represent the supplier of some of the world’s best Olympic hockey field pitches. We’re immensely proud to welcome New Zealand Olympic hockey players Simon Child and Stacey Michelsen to the Poligras family!

27-year old field hockey player Simon Child has the talent and charisma to go far, being named Hockey NZ Young Player of the Year in 2007. Earning his first cap for his national team as far back as 2005, Simon has already participated in both the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. He is the current captain of the New Zealand Black Sticks and impressively represented NZ 244 times.

24-year old Stacey Michelsen is another player quickly moving up through the ranks of sporting superstars, competing at both the 2010 Commonwealth Games and the 2012 Summer Olympics, and being named Young Women’s Player of the Year at the Hockey Federation’s 2011 awards. Some of Stacey’s other achievements include: NZ young player of the year 2010; Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2014; World Cup 2010 and 2014; Champions Trophy 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014; First cap; 2009 age 18; Current number of caps: 180 an impressive list of achievements at such a young age.

“We’d like to offer a very warm welcome to Simon and Stacey as they join the growing squad of sporting representatives of Poligras, our flagship brand. Poligras is known for being a top-quality hockey surface product – and we couldn’t think of two more fitting additions to our team of Brand Ambassadors than these exceptional players.” Cody Linton, General Manager Polytan, New Zealand
