Project Overview:
Polytan was awarded the contract to pressure clean, grind and resurface the existing synthetic athletics track, warm up track, and throw areas at Hunter Sports Centre as part of a wider expansion of the sporting complex. Our popular Rekortan M track surface in the colour rainbow blue was installed.
The redevelopment contract included the removal and disposal of the existing damaged track surface, preparation of the existing substrate surface including pressure washing, levelling, and priming and line marking to comply with World Class 2 certification. Polytan also supplied and installed new aluminium rails including marking tags.
The warmup track area was installed with our exclusive SMART diagnostics technology measuring real time results for runs, tapping step distance, agility, and jumps.
Polytan are proud to deliver the track upgrade at this facility bringing athletes and the community in Lake Macquarie a facility that can now host national and international level events.
