Polytan alongside Melton City Council provided a fully functioning athletics track and hockey pitch as  a subcontractor for the local community.

Poligras H2OZ COOLplus hockey system was chosen as the best surface capable of resisting high usage and hot weather.   The new athletics track was installed with a Spurtan BV synthetic system because it provides performance and durability for all users of the tracks surface.

The Spurtan BV system has IAAF Class 2 Certification which means the new sporting facility can hold state events.

Polytan was proud to partner alongside the Council to assist in their long-term strategies of increasing physical activity, sport participation and health awareness within the local community.

Gold Coast Hockey Centre - Hockey Home for the 2018 Commonwealth Games

Polytan upgraded the Gold Coast Hockey Centre for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games into a world class facility. The specialist contractor for the works on the two fields was Polytan and they also precisely supervised the critical asphalt layer work.

There were extensive discussions and collaborations to ensure all parties including the Commonwealth Games delivery team kept informed along the entire process.

The Poligras Platinum COOLplus was the number one chosen surface for the Gold Coast hockey fields and Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. This same surface was installed for the RIO 2016 Olympics where the hockey standards were at the highest quality and latest technology.

As a legacy of the Games this centre is impressive and an upgraded facility living up to the true international standards.
