Polytan alongside Melton City Council provided a fully functioning athletics track and hockey pitch as  a subcontractor for the local community.

Poligras H2OZ COOLplus hockey system was chosen as the best surface capable of resisting high usage and hot weather.   The new athletics track was installed with a Spurtan BV synthetic system because it provides performance and durability for all users of the tracks surface.

The Spurtan BV system has IAAF Class 2 Certification which means the new sporting facility can hold state events.

Polytan was proud to partner alongside the Council to assist in their long-term strategies of increasing physical activity, sport participation and health awareness within the local community.

Bellingara Netball Courts were in need of a large-scale renovation, after the facilities began to fall below the standards required for optimal play. After many years of continued use, the court’s asphalt surfaces were showing signs of wear and tear – so the owners decided to take action and implement a complete restoration in time for the upcoming netball season.
Challenge:
This time-sensitive project required the removal of asphalt on four netball courts, covering a total area of 2,500m2. Following the laying and curing of a new asphaltic concrete in two layers, the new acrylic surfaces needed to be applied and match-ready in time for the upcoming season.
Solution:
Polytan began the sports surface reconstruction by removing 50mm of existing asphalt from site, before commencing two stages of work laying the new asphaltic concrete and reinstallation of the eight existing netball posts.
Once the asphalt had adequate time to cure, a Laykold Deep Patch was installed to marry the new asphalt to the existing courts, followed by a Laykold Resurfacer basecoat, and finally two coats of Laykold Advantage acrylic netball surfacing in Medium Green with Dark Green surrounds.  Line-marking done, the successful refurbishment was complete.
