Project Overview:
We are proud to supply and install the prestigious synthetic football fields for the new Home of the Matildas and Football Victoria at La Trobe University Sports Park in Bundoora, Victoria.
This ground breaking project under the head contract of Minicon marks the largest football specific infrastructure project ever undertaken in Australia.
Polytan installed the revolutionary LigaTurf Cross 250 and SBR infill system at the facility and it sets a brand new standard in synthetic football turf. The system uses our exclusive ‘twintuft’ combination of monofilament fibres with texturised filament yarn fibres delivering unmatched performance and functionality. These texturised filaments are currently utilised in our premium quality, short pile Olympic hockey surfaces. This system also incorporates our 100% locally sourced recycled tyres for the elastic layer shockpad and SBR infill.
Serving as the training grounds for Australia’s national teams, this exceptional venue will provide an optimal environment for preparing for
future tournaments.
