Image of a BSF Asia painting that says "changing lives through the power of sport."

While Polytan & APT were in Indonesia for the SportGroup Agent Conference in May this year, we took to resurfacing the under-cover court area with a fresh new coating of Laykold and line marking.

During the SportGroup Agent Conference, staff played against BSF Asia in a wheelchair rugby contest as part of a team building experience.

BSF Asia’s performance was too good when in the second half they took off to claim their victory.

Pleased with their victory and outstanding performance against Polytan’s wheelchair team, BSF were humbled with the presentation of a new SIGNGRASS mat that can be taken to future competitions with BSF Asia and displayed proudly.

That evening, SportGroup welcomed a number of BSF athletes to the Finale Dinner and Awards evening at the Laguna Luxury Collection Resort & Spa.

The Indonesian Wheelchair Rugby Captain and Basketball athlete were kind enough to present to the SportGroup on how sport has changed their lives and transformed their worlds.

With the support of BSF Asia, they now have the opportunity to travel internationally, represent their countries at various championships and enjoy a life that embraces their disability.

To thank BSF Asia for their involvement at our event, Polytan presented BSF Asia with 6 international competition standard lawn bowl sets, and a wonderfully unique painting by Australian Speed Painter Brad Blaze.

As part of the evenings entertainment, Brad Blaze impressed the audience with his creative speed painting, live music and comical antidotes.

All paintings were auctioned off with thousands of dollars of proceeds being donated to BSF Asia.

BSF Asia Awards at the SportGroup Agent Conference

Following the Agent Conference and the Polytan Bali International Disabled Lawn Bowls Open, BSF Asia held their own finale dinner and awards evening, where SportGroup Asia Pacific CEO Stephen Niven was honoured to attend and present the awards for the evening.

BSF Asia is an outstanding not for profit organisation that is spreading it’s wings into the greater Asia region.  With the philosophy that sport changes lives, BSF Asia are providing much needed resources, coordination and funds to create sport participation opportunities for persons living with a disability.

Polytan are very proud to support and be associated with BSF Asia and founder Rodney Holt, and wish them the best in developing their programs further.
